Quitting PO

Well guys,

I'll leave PO at the end of the holidays because of school, I'll start engineer formation for 5 YEARS, so i won't be online at all during this time, maybe during holidays... Not even sure at all... It will be very hard. I'm kinda sad to leave PO but also excited to start "real" studies, to see if i'm able to become an engie or not. Also i won't be online from 1st to 14th of august (i'll be with my family and stuff, no computer, no party :<). You'll just see me at second half of the month, and then... Probably never.

Nevertheless, i think i'll come back to PO in 5 years, because i have a real passion for Pokemon, this is a whole part of my childhood and my teen years. Moreover, i love PO because i think it's one of the most equal game ever, as everyone has same options to teambuild, the game is totally free, only thing that can make you win or lose a battle is your skill or your haxx. No other way. Skillful wins are more commons, and haxx sometimes really suck, but eh when you haxx people it's really funny :]

Well i hope Hero will stay as powerful as today or maybe even increase it. I hope i helped a bit in making the clan better, and maybe i'll become any good again and comeback in Hero later, who knows ?

It's a sad day when I have to see my sole pupil/tutee leave for such a long time. You were quite possibly one of the greatest players and a wonderful person to talk to/build with. Thanks to you, Hero had it's name shine on the Ubers ladder numerous times... The loss that we are experiencing is far too great for me to be able to use my small and puny vocabularly to describe my feelings. And you chose this day, my birthday to announce you would be leaving. I did of course know that this day would come, but I never thought so much time had passed that you would have to leave already. I hope you become the best engineer France has ever known and make your way to greatness. Who knows, maybe faith will reunite us when we have all finished our studies.

It's really hard to leave Hero family, because you were my father in this game, you learnt me all i had to know and then i just applied lessons. You're the best tutor i could have dreamt of, and then it was just a reward to Hero, to give back what i got from it... I'm sure you understand.

I wish you all the best, i'm sure you'll succeed in your studies, because you have amazing human qualities as well as leading capacities even if you aren't even aware of it :] I really don't worry for you because i can't see how you could fail a thing in your life. I'm sad to spoil your birthday, but i felt like it was the moment..... Sorry.

Thanks a lot Ari for all advice, but i think we should all keep a part of our childhood in our future lifes because it remembers who you really are. Maybe i won't play PO anymore because i'll get more mature, but maybe it will be my part of childhood. I can't say for now, 5 years is too long to know. But your post really makes me think about all these things, so it's quite interesting (and thanks for the tribute ). I'll miss your calm, maturity but also coolness.

I really liked the fact that you knew this game could be a shitty luck fest, and still kept a great attitude whether it happened or not.
It's rare to see those kind of nice players online, and hope you keep the same viewpoint on your real life.
